SafeChex is designed to help keep people affected by natural disasters (“Posters”) stay connected to (“Viewers”) by passing updates (“check ins”) into our lightweight application when internet connectivity is limited but possible.
Our application allows you to quickly and easily set up a line of communication between you and your loved ones by posting occasional updates that are easily viewable by them without any prior setup. Post locations, status updates, transportation plans, whatever you feel is the most crucial information. And once your loved ones view your posts, they can receive text notifications every time a new check in is posted.
SafeChex is built to be a lightweight application so it can run quickly and effectively on laptops at remote locations such as Red Cross shelters, and, in the event of weak or sporadic cell phone service should be able to load on a smart phone.
So even if you don’t have constant internet access, you can still keep the people you care about in the know.
